Varivar´s 32bpp graphics

Post by Varivar »

After a long hiatus, I am converting my old 32bpp buildings from tar files to grf files. I have also improved the graphics. Sources can be found at the Devzone, see the links below.

Version 0.0.2 contains 3 buildings, more buildings will be added in the future.

Nice idea.
----------
I have a GRF + TAR file which updates some tropical houses.

It uses ground and building sprite, this allows to see the active tile when the mouse is over it.
Also, If you use "tall grass" sprites, the house doesn't cover the grass of the neighbour tiles.

If You are interested I can upload it here, and It could be converted into a new GRF 32 bpp file.
Sorry if my english is too poor, I want learn it, but it isn't too easy.

Happy new year :)

I have updated my grf with 2 new buildings, see first post for the download link. This grf is now hosted by the Devzone. Sources can be found there as well.

You have some serious skills there man! I checked your web and love your work.

Btw, are you creating completely new buildings, or are you sort of redrawing the original ones? (that's what I'd love to see the most if I could choose)

You can run this GRF along with zBase. So you will have these graphics inside zBase.

Thank you :) I'm trying to keep the design of the new buildings the same as the original ones, so they will still be recognizable in-game.

At the moment I'm not working on this GRF, I don't really have time for it at the moment. However, I still have plans to add more buildings to this set in the future.

Ohhh, very nice.
While I don't hold my hope too high, I'd love to see all of the buildings remade at some point. Heck I'd throw in a donation for that.

Unfortunately I don't have any news about this project at the moment. I'm busy with an internship + I live on my own now, so I don't have much time to draw at the moment.

I do plan to pick up drawing again in the near future.

That's fine, just as long as you don't consider this project abandoned :) Good luck with whatever you're up to these days :)
