Re: Mornington Crescent
So in other words, I can do whatever I want. Especially since the Central line doesn't even go to Moorgate...
Okay, good to know.
I take the Met line to Chesham. However, my train breaks down at Harrow-on-the-Hill and I am forced to get off there.
Now I am cold and hungry at Harrow-on-the-Hill.

No! You can't do whatever you like!
A move to a zone 9 station such as Chesham is very dangerous in this case as you're leaving yourself in serious danger of someone placing you in nid with a Buckingham Blocking Strategy. Fortunately, the broken down train has saved you. But with you stuck at Harrow-on-the-Hill I make a slightly unconventional decision of heading towards the other side of the network, and settle at East Ham. I don't think anyone's made such a move since the 1985 Highbury Meeting.

Since there's no apparent list of rules, I can do whatever.Dave W wrote:No! You can't do whatever you like!
You went to East Ham.
I take a westbound District train from there. However, I fall asleep and realize that the train has been rerouted to Uxbridge! In the nick of time, I leap out between the closing doors onto the platform at Eastcote.
Then by some rule (there has to be a rule like this, if there isn't I'll make it up) I jump to East Putney.

That has to be worth two turns in Nid.
Meanwhile, I'm off to Liverpool Street following the "Nearest London Terminus of Previous Player" Rule.

A nice move Hitperson. I wonder if we may be able to note that down.
I personally feel we should be at Bank. Because I can. And because of the 1874 Andrews-Miller constitution.

Re: Mornington Crescent
As determined by the 'Tenuous TV Show Reference' subclause of Regulation 24, (published in Stokes 2006), that puts me in Burnley .

Re: Mornington Crescent
This would be much easier on us non UK types if we could keep with the 1941, World War II, fuel shortage, convention of limiting all travel to only that which is necessary. By which I mean keeping the darn game confined to the more acceptable general London metro area. Wishing to do so but being blocked and threatened with confinement to nid for several turns by not having a "Northern" route directly into said acceptable general metro area I invoke the 1962 Robin Hood Agreement and move to Nottingham. Once there I kick the Sheriff of Nottingham in the gonads in order to keep in line with both sub clause 32 of the 1962 Robin Hood Agreement and my foul mood for having to look all of this stuff up.

Since the time is 11:50, I invoke the Channel 4 Late Night Softcore Porn clause and move to Blackrod, via Acocks Green.

I take a jet pack to Tokyo under the "It's-all-made-up-and-so-is-this-rule" clause established that time Dave W fell asleep and JamieLei painted a mustache on his face.
Re: Mornington Crescent
As that clearly invokes the 'exists-in-Tekkit' rule as a dependency, I get to take an express minecart back to Cambridge.donchatryit wrote:I take a jet pack to Tokyo under the "It's-all-made-up-and-so-is-this-rule" clause established that time Dave W fell asleep and JamieLei painted a mustache on his face.

Ah a superb move. I remember it well. I occasionally chuckle about it over a late evening scotch.donchatryit wrote:I take a jet pack to Tokyo under the "It's-all-made-up-and-so-is-this-rule" clause established that time Dave W fell asleep and JamieLei painted a mustache on his face.
I'm getting us back onto the Tube Map, but not a modern one - as I'm off to Down Street.

Onwards to Willesden Junction (Low Level) via the What Goes Up Must Come Down clause of 1845.
Re: Mornington Crescent
Using the "ye olde pieces-of-eight" clause from the Pirate's Rulebook I skip eight stations and arrive at Baker Street where I retire to the back of my favorite tobacconist's shoppe to solve a three pipe problem involving a dead horse, a street walker, and an unripe avocado.
