He removed the skylift, but i was going to start a separate skylift project!

Well i have added the skylift back in now, also correct quiet a number of errors, problem though is that I have changed the pcx file for the Airbus a319 greyscale due to it missing some pixels, as a result the pcx file needs to be resaved using a palette, but I can not remember how or what i have to do to convert pgn to pcx using either gimp or photoshop, i believe faddy painter knew anyone any help?

Aka latest push build has airberlin livery as greyscale for a319.

You could simply use the png directly (though you still need the proper palette). grfcodec understands png (for quite some time).

I also added a number of patches to the bug tracker which add the action14s.

So would have to resale a ong with a applied palette or could I just use it straight away if we have used to correct colours (which we have I believe).

Also with the action 14 I have not tried your code yet when I tried to add it in with just palette info it came back "invalid action byte".

pngs with the proper palette work out-of-box without any other precautions taken.

Dunno what you did. The commented-out action14 is in the wrong place, after the action8. I moved it properly to become the 2nd sprite (sprite 1) and all is fine.
Subsequently with the other patches I then add the other action14 info which are very much recommended to supply

I read in the Dutch Station set thread that he went on holiday yesterday afternoon.

@Beardie: I have ploughed through this thread and collected all the finished drawings of the plains (I neglected unfinished sprites). I then checked those with what is already in the set and found that 28 planes were not in the set yet. I neglected the 767's because of the wrong sprites.

I renamed the files so that it is easy to see what they are, the setup is like this:

Manufacturer-type-number_livery-name_Artistname.png

You might want to doublecheck these liveries with the ones over at the WAS-forum, maybe there are better liveries available there or there might have been modifications done there. (also there are a lot of liveries there that are not yet included)

I collected those 28 planes in this .zip

Hi quast, many thanks for these at the moment though no new planes are going to be added for a few days yet, there are 230+ sprite errors/ white pixels to fix yet lol, once all this is done I can start adding new repaints very easily for existing aircraft

I assume that SkiddLow is from Singapore with a bad translator. If you do want to make the graphics yourself you can register on the was forum link found in first post and find the A380 to make. Or wait a bit longer because I will be making those planes soon enough

EDIT: Just had a look at the file, anything added by gks kinda was well rubbish lol and the flyglobespan hence why they were removed. Got to have some quality control

Going through that list there are generally 2 reasons why these have not been included.

One is that they are of a plane type which has yet to be coded, usually as in order for Ash or Beardie to start a new type there would have to be at least 5 paints of it as otherwise they felt it was too much work for too little reward at that time, hence why the DC9s and BAC1-11s havent been done yet. In terms of the MD80s I am wondering why they haven't been included as those are in the GRF, possibly a mismatch in terms of colour scheme, I can't tell right now.

The other is that the aircraft cannot be included for various reasons. E.g. they are of awful quality e.g. anything by GKS or they have been modded from one type to another without consent and without a base greyscale for it (Tu204 made from a 757).

A few things to note: The Rwandair CRJ is in the GRF, as is the XL 737-800 (I think). I think that a different (and better) version of the BA Concorde is also in there. The Austrian 737-600 might be in there too, but I can't quite remember.

I Would like to just inform that the project has just updated all its files, this means latest GRFCodec which was causing most of our problems!

Soon no more white pixels!

You are right about the CRJ EXTspotter, my mistake I thought the manufacturers name was Canadair, but it is Bombardier Canadair Regional Jet (CRJ) and included. :oops:

The Boeing737-800 XL isn't there:

I have checked this using the latest nightly (r712)

And I think it is very good that there are high standards for the liveries of the planes in the set, that is what makes this set so very fun to play with!

The reason I did my search through this thread is that all previous not included liveries that were posted here, are now collected and can be easily checked to see if they conform to the standards of this set (and eventually be included if they conform). It means that from now on any new liveries can be placed also to the WAS-forum (or graphics contributers can be asked to place their work there from the start), so that you guys have a better oversight of what has been drawn. Because there is some confusion now about what is in and what not, which is not strange as work on this set has been slow for a while.

And... WOW that Skylift! :bow:

Since everything is back in order now I've given up coding and decided to focus on graphics once more.

Found a half finished TriStar spritesheet hidden in my backup drive and decided to finish it.

Its a TriStar 500 (the shorter stubby one) in case anyone is wondering.

Oh and the China Eastern A343 was never made but it got coded for some reason. The A333 exists so its a simple copy/paste job to make it.
