I think a raw industry production multiplier parameter could actually be beneficial since I've noticed that most raw material industries like Farms and mines (including oil wells and rigs) can't output the same max production as other industries in other industry sets. It wouldn't be truely realistic for farms but some single mines along and produce hundreds to thousands of tonnes of material a day (AFAIK, some coal mines can produce 100,000 tons of coal a day mostly for coal power plants)

I just loaded 0.7 beta on coop's welcome server, and let it run for about 100 years - 1920 through 2019. I didn't do anything too different from playing with 0.6 series, but it still was pretty enjoyable. Thank you so much for making this release happen!

There are a few things I've noticed.

- The recycle depot does not accept engineering supplies, and production per month remains at 0.
- The closing of some industries seem different from 0.6. Such as Hardware stores, petrol pump, and builders yard. Before, I never saw these industries close, but now they seem to close pretty quickly. Is this intended?
[edit]
- With the variable production by recycling plant, the associated displays are not consistent. Even if a plant produces manufacturing supply and building materials, the "display chain" shows that it produces scrap metal. "Fund industry" window always shows scrap metal and manufacturing supply as its products.
- I miss the "available since" date that was available in the old version, in the fund industry window.
[/edit]
So far, that's all I've noticed, as far as questionable things.

The graphic changes were delightful. Thank you!

I have the setting for closure of secondary industries turn on

I built a paper mill and was only supplying it with wood - lots of wood

It closed down on me. Is this expected behavior? Do need to supply all three cargos to stop closure?

Thanks

Hi, I'm new here and have maybe a stupid question. I've downloaded FIRS, there are lots of new industries, but no wagons or trucks to carry new cargo types. Would you please suggest some good vehicle set I should use? Thanks.

I had 1.1.4. as last stable version, but I'll give a try to 1.2.0 beta and hope savegames will be compatible with future 1.2.0 stable :)

Unfortunately, it doesn't work for me... :(

Downloaded FIRS ingame, using the content downloading system. Started a new game with it, here's the result.
First I used OTTD 1.2.0 beta1 on a Windows 7 32 bit machine. Then I upgraded OTTD to beta2, the problem remained. I tried it on an XP SP3 machine (I have OTTD installed on a pendrive). Still can't play.

There's only one suspicious thing I can see: the letter 'M' after the version number 0.7.0.

Can you try a manual install with this version: http://bundles.openttdcoop.org/firs/releases/0.7.0/
Make sure to throw away the version from the content-download, so that OpenTTD cannot find it.

Weird, I can load that save just fine.

I'd almost say the file you downloaded is incomplete, but since it happened with both the version from the content download and the manually installed version, chances that is actually the case are slim. Very weird indeed.

Interesting.
Well, I have to use 0.6.4, I guess.

Shouldn't this be clear with the MD5 hash? It does look wrong (!= 22ba96792061a81173402d7076afc04c) ...

It may be clear, but what should I do with it? Can the file be damaged? Two different computers, two different places, two different operating systems, two different instances of the newgrf file. All bad. And why does it not happen with FIRS 0.6.4? It works fine. Everything else on my two computers are just fine. At least I can't see any damaged files on them anywhere.

The hash in the screenshot you posted looks right. That's the same I get here when I get the grf from the content download (the manual download will give you a slightly different version entirely).

I have no clue what this could be. Only workaround I have left is moving to a nightly FIRS. The differences with the release are still minor.

Unfortunately, the nightly produces the same error message. :(
