Whatever the mouse cursor is: mine on SuSE linux looks very much identical to both...

Re: [OTTD] Graphics Replacement Project - OpenGFX GPL Releases
In short: You can't copyright a simple shape or outline. The classic mouse cursor shape is simple.
In long: I can't have copied that cursor shape because I drew it before that cursor graphic had been publically released (IIRC I drew it in windows XP)
And here are the save and graph icons i mentioned, how about these?

They are very good, much better than what was there.
And sorry for the mouse cursor thing, but it doesn't hurt to check

Re: [OTTD] Graphics Replacement Project - OpenGFX GPL Releases
Nice work Zephyris! Personally I like the new symbols better, too. Though I'd keep the current symbol for the settings (the cogwheel) but replace the file i/o icon and the graph icon with these ones.
Further opinions?

Definitely true, nothing to be sorry about (from my POV).Thief^ wrote:And sorry for the mouse cursor thing, but it doesn't hurt to check

Re: [OTTD] Graphics Replacement Project - 0.3.0
OpenGFX 0.3.0 is out
With this version we bring some major updates and it is highly recommended to upgrade to this version of OpenGFX. The number of changes and additions include
- New Airport preview sprites (no longer missing sprites!)
- New sprites for the vehicle income, unread messages and exclusive transport rights (no longer missing sprites!)
- New signals
- Numerous unique new toyland sprites
- Improvement and fixes for a number of houses
- Some icons in the menu bar got replaced by easier discernible icons
For a full changelog see below.
Enjoy and come back to us, if you have problems, criticism, suggestions or contributions. Thanks to all who did work a lot on improving this set in the last months OpenGFX is found as usual via ingame content bananas or at the DevZone
Important information for package maintainers:
- first run make and then make check to test for the integrity of the grfs. make install or make docs will overwrite the shipped md5sum file
- if you don't use unis2dos, set it explicitly to "true" via command line flag or set an empty UNIX2DOS_FLAG. It may otherwise fail
- You can specify now separately INSTALL_DIR and DOCDIR for the grf and the documentation (=readme, license, changelog). If no DOCDIR is supplied, the documentation is also installed into the same dir as the grf.

Re: [OTTD] Graphics Replacement Project - OpenGFX GPL Releases
Is it me, or have the floppy disk icon and mouse over floppy disk icon been switched?
Re: [OTTD] Graphics Replacement Project - OpenGFX GPL Releases
I remember some time ago it was a CD, but then it's a floppy now. Anyway, I think the floppy is more special.

Re: [OTTD] Graphics Replacement Project - OpenGFX GPL Releases
The menu bar has a altered icons for the file operations (the floppy disk), the graph icon and the information icon (the question mark). The floppy disk is (at least to me) more easily attributed to file operations than the previously used circular disk. The graph icon now shows more like what the actual graphs look like and the info icon is not in a warning colour anymore.Zephyris wrote:Is it me, or have the floppy disk icon and mouse over floppy disk icon been switched?

I don't mean the cd->floppy change, I mean that the mouse over version of the floppy disk and the non-mouse over version have been switched...

Re: [OTTD] Graphics Replacement Project - OpenGFX GPL Releases
Let me try to interpret, I think what Zephyris means is that in the floppy icon, there are two sprites. One is the normal one, one is when you click on the floppy icon. The two are indeed switched. I will report this bug.

Re: [OTTD] Graphics Replacement Project - OpenGFX GPL Releases
Oh right
I wasn't aware that it had two sprites. Actually I consider it kinda nice to have a "clicked animation".

Re: [OTTD] Graphics Replacement Project - OpenGFX GPL Releas
Hey ho,
a new version already, which is mostly targeted at package maintainers with a lot of fixes and minor changes to the build process.
Notably you can now define
INSTALL_DIR: directory the grf and obg files go to
DOCDIR: directory the readme, changelog and license go to; but you can opt out of each by defining
DO_NOT_INSTALL_DOCS=1
DO_NOT_INSTALL_LICENSE=1
DO_NOT_INSTALL_CHANGELOG=1

Re: [OTTD] OpenGFX releases - Graphics Replacement Project
One of the 'shops and offices' in Toyland has, in big blinking text, "BAR" written across the front. This seems to mismatch the theme just a little bit...

True, put "playhouse" has too many letters to fit
I am little, ugly, and nasty. How do you do?
Re: [OTTD] OpenGFX releases - Graphics Replacement Project
Hi! I have a suggestion, or a question. The Cargo ship is bigger than the Oil Tanker, shouldn't it be the other way around? Cargo ships carry less than Oil Tankers.
Also, I'm not sure if this suggestion should belong to this topic or not:

Re: [OTTD] OpenGFX releases - Graphics Replacement Project
OpenGFX 0.3.2 released
Today brings us the release of OpenGFX 0.3.2 with a number of bug fixes but most noteworthy with a log of new toyland-specific road vehicles, aircraft and ships. It's available for download as usual from your favourite fruit store or from the DevZone. A TTDPatch versions is now also available.
Note for package maintainers: you'll need grfcodec r785 or version 5.1 or later with png-support in order to build OpenGFX
