Voting for April Photo of the Month is now up and running.
13 great and grand entries this month. All of you deserve a pat on the back for some amazing photos
Should we also not give feedback, because some pictures, although nice ideas are not executed that well.
47407: idea nice, an old and a new version of a London(?) Two floored coach. However, the top of the photo overexposed.
47434: boring composition also should have at least been cropped at the top.
A321Pilot: a lot of noise it seams, also perhaps to increase focus on the height of the building in the centre the left side could have been cropped.
Ameecher: I like this one, but this could have been a lot better by making two changes: making the horizon horizontal and cropping the top.
Andel: nice composition
Andrew 350: quite nice, the white/greyish in the middle towards the bottom could have been cloned away.
DaveW: nice one, some old and new architecture combined. Again I have the feeling the horizon could have been a bit more leveled.
doktorhonig: interesting, a subway featuring train plane and automobiles?
GeoGhost: if you'd made this a HDR one it would have been awesome, or perhaps with other editing: because I would have like it if a bit more details would have been visible in the dark part of the arch's.
JorD1: okay
TheIrish: nice shot (what is it?)
Transportman: interesting building, Antwerp?
VoyagerOne: could possibly been better if the shot was taken with the sun in the back so the entire sculpture was exposed to the sun evenly.
Arie if I wanted feedback I would have asked. This is a friendly, amateur photo competition. I don't care how you vote, but I care even less as to the reasons why. The fact that photo is probably at 4 to 5 degrees either way isn't worthy of mentioning. Also "cloning out" is prohibited by the rules. If I wanted to have my photo deconstructed I would have entered a professional competition.
Arie- wrote:I wouldn't know of such a topic, where is it? This photo of the month vote topic is stickied in the OpenTTD subsection.
In the General Transport Discussion section there is a monthly competition centering around transport and the theme set by the winner of the month before.

Bit harsh, arguably an amateur competition should provide more feedback. I can see the point about my one but it is oddly contorted by the slope of the the horizon and the angle I was taking the photo at.

Maybe, but to systematically find an error in every photo is equally as harsh imo.
Pah, I only made it global to encourage some more votes....

I apologise to Arie publically for my outburst above, it was rather unnecessary I must admit. Maybe we need that sort of feedback... But on the other hand it'd probably but people off.
Well done David - lovely photo and your outburst and subsequent sympathy votes evidently won you the day!!

We all know you only made it global because all the regular voters had already voted and you were losing sweetheart
Hell. Yes.
