Another wood line is built in a secluded area.

The problem is, there are two towns quite close to the proposed line. To ensure authority ratings would improve, a single-track tube line is built perpendicular to the wood line.

A tube train, a feeder bus and a wood train all meet in this secluded corner.

With nearly all on-land primary industries connected, the authority turn their eye to the remaining raw material not transported -- oil.

Two oil rigs are connected as trial. The one farther away from the coast was served by oil tankers, while the one closer to land was served by a train line built on a lagoon.

Though you might wonder how the locals feel to have a lagoon blocking their ocean view.

Meh, who cares what the locals think? They're not the ones paying the bills! Still looking good :D

And the railway isn't under their jurisdiction anyway :D

New Century, New Trains

Intercity trains serving the west have been updated to Electrostars as well.

The rail layout has also changed such that freight lines and passenger lines no longer share tracks, ensuring that the new trains have a clear run.

The suburban line in Huntburg Springs has been extended to Granford. As Granford sits on a higher ground the line becomes a "true" underground -- requiring extensive tunneling for the new section.

Back to the East. A new concept is being developed -- underground tramways. With longer trams, it's planned to use them as a frequent metro under cities. Neningbury will be the first settlement to test it, but there are still some land acquiring matters to solve.

Steel Line "Refitted" to Haul Goods Back to City

The rail line transporting steel from Farfingfield Steel Mill to the local factory has been reworked such that train will load the goods manufactured in the factory and haul them back to the city. Our reporter has taken a picture of a steel train meeting a goods train, essentially the same train refitted for goods hauling.

UPDATE TIME!

After some hiatus I get to play again.

Three new screens this time, showing the steel city of Fort Dronburg.
Extra-long (10 tile) trains are deployed to handle the heavy local iron ore and steel traffic.
