Lawton27's screenshots
Re: Lawton27's screenshots
Thanks for all the comments, here's an update The network has expanded to Burscough and a small engine workshop has been set-up there, their first locomotive; a Burscough model 1 is named after the war hero commander Cody (who recently did some brave fearless act in some war the company would rather not take sides in). With this new workshop which aims to produce all the company's express passenger locomotives from now on a new standard green livery for steam locomotives is being enforced.
Also a new Sprung type 3 locomotive XII - "Seeker" has been produced to further the capacity of the coal line and the Crampton locomotive VII has been both repainted and re-named to "City of Canterbury".
Now pictures...

Re: Lawton27's screenshots
Today decimal dawns on the railways as the large number of different classes prompts a numbering system that differentiates them. All trains have been renumbered, retaining their original number (in decimal) but now with a 2 digit class prefix.
The classes are as follows:
01 - Sprung Type 1
02 - Sprung Type 2
03 - Sprung Type 3
04 - Sprung Type 4
05 - Sprung Railmotor
06 - Sprung Class 06
10 - Crampton Class
11 - Burscough Model 1
12 - Burscough Model 2
20 - Midland Railway 1000 Class
There's a few new classes there, currently only one 20 exists a locomotive imported from the British mainland, the Burscough locomotive works have however purchased the schematics to this locomotive in hope of producing more. The Sprung Railmotors are popping up all over the network and proving profitable. And the new Sprung Class 06 locomotives are used for freight services.

Re: Lawton27's screenshots
I will be getting back to the previous game eventually for now I'll be posting some pictures of a game I'm playing in a scenario I'm working on. I might pop some pics from other games in from time to time but now I'll primarily focus on testing this.
I'll let you all guess what the scenario is!
Firstly I've set up a small link with a paper mill...

Re: Lawton27's screenshots
Is it a Peak District Map or something like that?
Re: Lawton27's screenshots
Close but no cigar.A321Pilot wrote:Is it a Peak District Map or something like that?
I'm finding testing this map out for myself first most useful, I've already thought of a few things that I could improve, mostly to do with industry placement so I'll keep playing this game to get a good feel for what works best with the landscape.
Anyway, double post here and obviously more hits as to the location..

Re: Lawton27's screenshots
Cumbria by anychance then.
Re: Lawton27's screenshots
Correct! It's rather under-represented in current scenarios available so I decided it was time to fix that! The map stretches from Dumfries to Lancaster to give you some idea of the scale.A321Pilot wrote:Cumbria by anychance then.

Re: Lawton27's screenshots
Right putting Cumbria to the side for the minute I'm going back to the good ol' Pafinghill Island map. With the approach of a final release of UKRS2 which will introduce more modern trains which the map most certainly requires I've started bringing it up to speed with other updates in the world of OTTD since I last played it .
The most important development on the island recently is the introduction of 7 new class 43 mail emu's taking over from the ageing class 35's. Now, pictures!

It confuses me to see a UK-style map with everything driving on the right hand side!!
