Re: [OTTD] Screenshots by as
The bridge near Hachenburg that was seen in the previous post has gotten more traffic as coal and goods trains now also use it to cross the river.
Lüdinghausen. Steam is still used in many parts of the network in mid 1960s.

Glad you like them. Three more small scenes today, something bigger and hopefully better tomorrow.

great shots.
Re: [OTTD] Screenshots by as
Unfortunately I made the scenario with cargodist so it won't work with normal OTTD and I can't provide windows binary at the moment. Still here is the scenario and the required patch if you are interested in compiling it yourself. The patch is for SVN version r22941. It might also work with newer cargodist versions, but I haven't tested it. All of the grfs should be available publicly, but some of them are not on the online content. Here is the heightmap:davis wrote:care to post the scenario?

Back to screenshots...
Double fail! This station had been without signals for over twenty years before I noticed it, greatly slowing down the traffic. When I added the signals this happened: Southern suburbs of Kaisernslautern. Off topic but I found it amusing: Opera's spell-checking has some interesting suggestions on how Kaisernslautern should really be written.

More suburbs this time on the north side of Manslaughter
Versmold glass works and the triple track Kaisernslautern-Brühl-Stromberg mainline
Grünberg with the awesome Neuschwanstein Castle
Re: [OTTD] Screenshots by as
Xanten is on of the biggest bottlenecks on the network as its four track station can't handle all the traffic passing through, but I'm not sure if I can be bothered to rebuild it as the current game year is already 2013 and I'm starting to lose interest in this game.

Versmold power station, some the coal is transferred to trucks and goes to nearby glass works.

I really like your screenie !
And i really like that heighmap you posted... but wanting to play it with chillpatchpack or eventually YACD i had to create a scenario based on your heightmap. I havent played it yet, but i think it s good for a first release
Scenario size is 1024x256, so the heightmap got strecthed quite a bit(x4), Rivers are in, also i installed cities with inspiration from the minimap in your thread. I putted some industries manually and tried to keep it realistic (flat land= farms and some forests as well as the manufacturing industries, in the mountain is the oil/coal and Iron).
The grf list is totally blank so don t forget to add the vehicules sets, and others grf of your choice. (i might do somedays another version with a grf list and maybe some industries grf )
Tell me what you think about it

Re: [OTTD] Screenshots by as
That looks pretty bad compared to what it would look like in the proper size to be honest.
Re: [OTTD] Screenshots by as
Unfortunately I have to agree with Benny, resizing the map made hills look weird, and perhaps the map is bit too empty, it would propably work better if there were more towns. But I like the way you built roads between all the towns, that looks nice.
Anyway I started new game with Japanset grfs.
