EXTspotter's Screen Adventures
Re: EXTspotter's Screen Adventures
Yes was always refittable to 2CC. In fact most of the trams made it into BATS in 2cc form only.

Re: EXTspotter's Screen Adventures
A screenie of the current most important station; Bristol Severn Row.
Bristol is the second largest city in the game, with 25000 inhabitants. It is currently at the end of the E1 express route from Blaydon, as well as regional services to Chester and Bury via three different routes, the mainline stopping services towards Sunderland and Blaydon and a quieter service to Hayfield. Bristol has two metro-style lines through the city, leading to Quay Park and Caldicot.
In platform 1, 365572 leads the 0256 M3 service to Caldicot.
In platform 2, 365575 leads the equivalent 0255 M3 service to Quay Park.
In platform 3, 365636 pulls away with a S7A service from Bury & Hucknall to Caldicott via Huntingdon.
In platform 4, 321305 prepares to depart for Hayfield on a S6 service.
In platform 6, 365625 arrives with an anticlockwise S7 services from Bristol Severn Row via Chertsey, Chester and Huntingdon.
In platform 9, 365633 arrives with the equivalent clockwise S7 service.
In platform 10, 370015 unloads its E1 service from Blaydon and Elstree.
In platform 15, 365544 finishes loading its S4 service from Bury & Hucknall to Blaydon, departing at 0256 for Sunderland.
The current fleet stands at 24 Class 370 Advanced Passenger Trains, 10 Class 321 EMUs and 267 Class 365 Networkers; the backbone of the fleet.

Beautifully constructed railway station.

Re: EXTspotter's Screen Adventures
It's been quite a while since I played a game, especially solo. Sorry if it's somewhat amateurish - it's been a while!
I'm playing on a modified version of the Tokaido Scenario. This is a 4096 x 2048 map which mostly contains sea, but covers the Japanese island of Honshu from Yamagata on the west coast and Chiba on the east coast down to Kyoto on the west coast and Hyogo on the east coast. It also includes smaller islands, such as Sado off the west coast and the Izu archipelago off the east coast.
The game has been edited so that it follows an alternative reality where current British rolling stock is used. I have also included a wider variety of eyecandy GRFs, such as stations from around the world and other bits to give a more varied aesthetic.
I started the game on the edge of the map in Chiba; in reality, Chiba is a peninsula which faces Tokyo across Tokyo bay, however because the way in which the map was produced in the first place, this land connection is cut off by the edge of the map. The area contains seven cities in two clusters. The screenshot below is of the smaller cluster.
Tateyama was the first city connected by railways; the city started off relatively small but it's population has exploded. The local area is served by two commuter lines, to Minamiboso Feripoto for ferries to Kanagawa and to Kyonan. The two branches split after Kita-Tateyama. The services were originally operated by 4-car class 455 units. As the population grew; demand grew and these were extended to 8-cars. As the population grew even further, these were in turn-replaced with 8-car class 378 units which have a more metro-style layout more appropriate for passenger numbers. The class 455s which were recently replaced are stored at the Tateyama Traction Maintenance Depot, west of the station. These are likely to be reused on new branches in Kanagawa. They are joined by a new Class 68 diesel locomotive, used as a Thunderbird locomotive to rescue failed units. The other service from the station is a regional line to the other end of Chiba and the Futtsu-Kimitsu-Kisarazu-Sodegaura conurbation. This area has a more developed metro-rail network and will be where trains from across Tokyo Bay will service. The regional service is run by class 450 units; originally in 8-car sets but recently upgraded to 12-car to cope with the incredibly high loadings. The service runs non-stop through Tateyama's suburbs and through many tunnels through Chiba's hilly interior to reach the network's hub at Shin-Kimitsu, the services then become suburban services, servicing Higashi-Kisarizu before terminating at Kita-Sodegaura.

Re: EXTspotter's Screen Adventures
Slowly adding a bit more to the map
Yokosuka is the first city across the bridge from Chiba. The city is bypassed by the mainline towards Yokohama and Tokyo; a junction station has been built on the outskirts. From the junction, a number of branches radiate; one to Miura and two to different areas of Yokosuka. The terminus of one of these, Yokosuka Feripoto, is pictured. This is the closest station to the CBD and is built on the area which was the port for ferries to Chiba before the bridge was built. The units used on the line were cascaded from Tateyama's suburban network.
