it goes up a 1000 tile steep hill?

Probably simulating top and tailing. Though why use a burly locomotion for it?
Something goes here, hell if I know.

Some clapped out old units needed replacing, I had some spare 232s knocking about so it only cost the price of the carriages....
.... and top & tailing looks good!

Not with BR232's though :D I prefer V100's for it, though they look just as good double-headed IMO.

I miss the DBSet :(

Esens is the largest city on the map. ET-87s dominate on various local routes, however steam gets the nod for more distant destinations.
2 - Laatzen.png

Laatzen, a quiet coastal town served by steam-hauled services from Esens.

A small settlement near the coast with a small halt and rather large church/cathedral!

A pleasure as always Mr Badge. It's good to see all of the old guard coming out with some screenshots now NewStations is out! :P

Does this not make the BMSS crew want to release theirs? :P

That's a good new !

Your shots have always been extremely inspiring for me (and actually, it was watching at them that I discovered that kind of gameplay).

Actually, nice shots, as usual.

I would suggest you to use the NuTracks GRF, not only because it is nice, but specially because that could avoid the difference with the piece of track on the bridge.

Yep, I've had a right good play with it in a recent UK-based game. A few tweaks needed but coming along great.

Someone make it their New Years resolution to release it! If only BMSS had some sort of thread we could do all of this shouting in...

There is.
And Dave, for what it's worth, I do nothing on bmss other than suggest and test, don't blame me!

*skulks away again*

I have been mentally compiling a list of changes that need to be made to BMSS, fixes, tweaks, additions etc, should really write it down though! Will try to get something sorted soon I hope :)

Badger, great shots as usual, nice to see you posting again :D

4 - Grimmen circa 1950.png (305.72 KiB) Viewed 664 times
Grimmen was just a mid point on a quiet commuter route from Esens in 1950. A small single track station was sufficient, there simply not being enough space for more. An ET-87 makes a station stop.

During the late '50s passenger services were increased and a new route from a southern coastal port, mainly for the transport of fish, constructed (the junction is out of view to the bottom of the pic).
As a result, the single track became congested and a second line and platform were added with the town council's permission.
Currently there are 3 routes to the south and 2 towards Esens to the north, and congestion is once again a problem.
An empty fish train has just passed through as a fast commuter service approaches.

Eggesin in the 50's, a busy town on the edge of Esens. The route south leads to the sourthern coastal towns, including the Grimmen route. The unelectrified line heads west to various towns. Two single platform stations, part of the Esens S-Bahn, are at the top of the pic.
Again, ET-87s dominate.

Come 1970 and the avoiding route's tunnel has been opened out, platformed and electrified to ease congestion on the southern route.
One of the S-Bahn stations has been doubled also.
Two V200s pass with services to/from Laatzen while an aging ET-87 loads in the platforms.
