I trust that this is in the correct place as it relates to a new mod.
I have been testing a new mod by Emperor Darth Sidious, namely "Food Mod". Details here: http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=66368 It is only a beta version as the full version has yet to be released. My comments as follows:
At first, I found the mod quite complicated, but like everything else, you get used to it after awhile. This is almost a remake of Locomotion, and in my opinion, is quite brilliant. There is lots to do and it can take awhile to get going. Be prepared to transport lots of cargo here and there, it can take a lot of patience. I played this mod on one of my own blank maps, which meant I had to place industries and townships myself. (I'm not sure if the final release will include a scenario or not, that's up to EDS). I set myself what I thought was a modest goal, but I didn't complete it. Not that it mattered, as I was only testing it. I used standard vehicles but no planes or ships.
I had no problems with any of the locos, wagons, road vehicles, or anything else for that matter. I am very pleased that I was asked to test this fine mod. EDS has put a lot of work into this, as well as countless hours in compiling it. In my opinion, he has done very well.
Summary:
An excellent mod, and is quite absorbing, well worth the download when it is completed. Players will enjoy this as I did, and spend countless hours in playing it, (depending on the difficulty). My rating, 9/10.
