Mostly with how to make 3ds render all the directions & how to make paintshop pro (or photoshop) put the correct palettes.
Also, how to put the ###.png stuff into the .xml, ie what numbers to put into it.

I've done a few buildings into lomo already so I'm not a total noob in the modding stuff. + I learn stuff fast.

If someone wants to render & re-palette these, be my guest ;)
isn't the pallette suppose to be something like the 225 colour pallete or something like that? and i have paintshop pro and i can make the pallete correct (i think) well i can change the pallete on paintshop pro :D

I've just managed to make the rendering using the train-template. Now just to re-palette them & get them into lomo.

I NEED A SCRIPT TO DO THAT! 100+ pics is a bit too much. Maybe someone could share their psp script or tell me a page which gives clues on how to do it?

OK, here's a pic from ingame with the MD-87. As you can see, I need to change the palette... But the good thing is that it's the right size compared to other aircraft!

Here's the script I made by the script creator psp has.

How can I make it convert 00000-00135.png? Right now it only converts the 00000.png.

I read that the scripts are done in Python but I don't know how it works. Would something like this:

Code: Select all

pict = 00000
start:
IF pict = 00135 then end.
Make psp open, convert & save "pict".png
pict = pict + 00001
goto start
be possible? I tried (using commands from BASIC) but that didn't work...
The script is as an attachment.

Maby you can use PhotoShop CS from Adobe. Auto convert from BMP to PNG. All the files at once.

OK, I got so far as Batch>Process Files.
I use a script where it only loads a palette.
Overwrite is checked.
I select all of the files (00000-00135.png) and press start.

It processes all of them but doesn't actually do anything! The palette stays as it is.

As I try to make it work I'd like someone to tell me what to do.

Finally! I opened the save options screen & changed optimized palette into unoptimized. First screeny coming soon!

This isn't even hard, now that I know how it's done. Expect more planes soon ;)

Notice that the model is a bit too small. The anti-aliasing also creates some problems.

it's good to see that you know how to convert the bmp to png.

EDIT:

Yes, it's coloured pink but the colours aren't perfect. Some manual palette editing will fix that.

Enough for someone who doesn't know anything about the aircraft industries history. I for one think there are WAAAY too many trains in lomo, but the amount has more than doubled already...

I need help with the palette! Which colours are used for what? The first colour is transparent, but what about the two company colours?

As you can see, the palette is not totally correct when comparing the pic & the ingame pic:

Well, do stations use BOTH company colours? If so it will work nicely.

And which ones are the company colours on the palette? Ie what are the palette numbers for them?
