Post by sunshare »

Hello friends, who would be so kind and are encouraged to patch together a pack that are not yet updated to the latest version?

With the exception of Slim Timetable Separation, Spring 2013 Patch Pack meets all your requirements. There hasn't been any great significant leaps in the code AFAIK between last year and now, other than More Height Levels moving from patch to being an official part of the game. Pi1985 is working on a newer update. You can always contact him via PM and ask if he'd include STS and update to the nightly with MHL officially included.

Hello,

probably useless, as the limit we already have is probably never reached.
16 millions tiles isn't enough for you ? you really want 65000 times more ?!

Could you please show me your computer? Mostly because you need at least 10 TiB (10.240 GiB, yes more than ten thousand gigabytes) of memory to even load the map in memory. If you want to save that, you need at least double.

To make matters worse, Windows has a limit of 8 TiB per application but luckily Linux with a properly configured kernel can allocate 128 TiB.

Maybe he wants to play, say, 8192*8192 maps? Or even an 8192*256 map for some reason? Just saying - that patch doesn't only add some crazy maximum size ... ^^

But it doesn't only introduce bigger maps but also more bugs.
