Sor me the new version fixed the crash, after deleting a certain station.
So the bug fix was good in my case :) Hope it works well for all others as well.

I dont know if this has been asked yet, but the change to parallel tracks in the same tile, would this allow 2 different companies to build a parallel track adjacent to each other in the same tile?

It would not be fair to call it "my" implementation; it is still mostly ic111's work, and ChillCore's, and CommanderZ's. There are several commits that do not apply cleanly to my branch—too many things have changed underneath—and I have to fix the resulting conflicts, but this is minor work, and there are a few commits which I have decided to rewrite, mainly for code simplicity, so you can blame any additional bugs on me, but more height levels is still their work. As romazoon already said, this is not possible. Mixing owners in a tile is a pain, code-wise, and I did not find it worth the effort when I implemented this. (Then again, I may be biased because there are no other companies in my games.)

Hey Cirdan,

Thanks for the last fixes, it indeed seems to have solved the bug i had, it didn t reproduce until now.

i have a new crash report though...hmm, 2 actually...

so the first is happening when i make a simple click on a savegame that is not compatible with the newmapfeature version(cause made with the recent trunk). it crash and send me back to windows. note that i remember having already reported such a crash.... i'm just not remembering exactly what was the reason behind. if i remind me well, it was only happening with Wally's build.

the second, is when i have a train that is actually loading at platform, but cause it s too long have a bit still inside depot (where train just got out)...now i try to send that train to depot and it crash. no crash report is made though. i made a screenshot, and the savegame attached will be making it easy to reproduce.

edit 1 : making that train simpy turn around when having a part inside depot also make the game crash, true for this train, i tried with others and problem seems to be only triggering if the train is loading AND have a part of train inside depot.

I cannot reproduce this one. Could you post the savegame that causes the crash for you?

This one I can reproduce. A fix is in the works.

Made a fast Windows Version of build gc0978e5a.
Romazoon can you please check if the crash with the wrong savegame version happens there too?

If not i am not sure about the different dev setup wally and me have.

Strange because I guess Wally uses the same Webpage to set the mingw dev up for Windows.
Wonder what is different then...

But if it works now for you have fun with it :)

I have not patched in any of the diffs that were posted a while ago. Are they still required?

The only difference between this PC and my fanless laptop is this machine has a 2Ghz Single Core CPU. The other box is Multi Core.

If need be I will reinstall MinGW and Git, but considering the traffic jam at the CPU it is not something I would be looking forward to.

I'm pretty sure this bug happens with the ones I compile as well, so I don't think it's something unique to your setup. ^^;

No, all those patches have already been merged. I keep a couple of patches that are required for compilation under MSVC 2008, but the published branch should compile cleanly with (a recent version of) gcc.

What settings (os, compiler, etc.) are you (TrueSatan and wallyweb) using when configuring your build? Since TrueSatan's build does not exhibit this bug, perhaps that would help me find the cause of the crash.

hey Cirdan,

I maybe found a other bug, it make the game freeze, and i have to close the game manually.

it s when renaming a way point, it s seems to trigger only if the waypoint city's name is too long.
exemple :

renaming here works

let's reuse this post....

I just made the game crash by renaming a waypoint again...only thing is this time the city's name wasn't that long, and i renamed succesfully the waypoint next to it just before....other difference is i have this time a crash report. (and another important point maybe is, that this was while i was running a multiplayer game...only me connected though )

I have a virtual win7 64bit machine (or was it 32bit???) for that.
Maybe its good if I provide my config file for compiling, if I am on my big machine and have
started the virtual machine.
Maybe I left something else out of those libs from the wiki page.
And I know i have definitely left out ICU via parameter, because I have compiled
it but it didn't worked then.
And yes I read the topic about your experiments with ICU Wally, so I haven't tried any of that
because its to much trouble and nothing works.

Anything else you would need to cirdan?
Btw I had some win32 compile errors, but couldn't copy them outta the damn mingw console (msys) window.
I c if I can get them into some logfile or something.

And if I find the time, I will also see which versions of mingw, libs, etc I used for the development environment.

it s when renaming a way point, it s seems to trigger only if the waypoint city's name is too long.
I can confirm that one.
Rename any Town to the max name length, then build a waypoint and try to edit that.
Its maybe a trunk problem as well.
