Road synchronization system
I propose a road synchronization system, for the better road 2x2 and 3x3 grid. It aims to prevent the situation whereby towns and cities in close proximity overlap their road systems.
Please see screenshots for examples and also examples of whereby the 3x3 grid system gets it right by accident and also where it sometimes gets one part matching but the other not!
If the towns are aligned on scenario creation, this problem will be fixed so how about a template for town creation or is it possible to work out exactly on what tile a town is based (I have always wondered this!) If a town is based on say square 1859x1492 (approx location of Hastings in the UK scenario and) the next town is Eastbourne 1875x1460 (which align) is it possible to just accurately place the towns?
Ha look what I saw at 02:04 ish when editing this post! see screenie below

For finally noticing GoogleBot? Congratulations. It's been here at least daily since Owen upgraded to phpBB3.
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

Re: Road synchronization system
Check better: there may be more bots around!
Dave_McMahon: I am of the same opinion. Better post under appropriate thread or PM the author of the patch. I was lazy to do.

Re: Road synchronization system
Does anyone know (or how to find out) the author of the better roads 2x2 and 3x3 road systems? Are they created by the same author?

Re: Road synchronization system
I think it was Skidd13 who made the improved roads patch, including all the new algorithms.

Re: Road synchronization system
I mean being able to find the author by a part of OTTD (maybe they can be credited in the Configure patches screen)
