Problem with Train Speed

Post by PopcornBoy »

Hi Everyone

I was playing OpenTTD not that long ago and I was concerned about the speed of my trains. Everytime I buy a train it has it's own maximum speed like 275km/h or so but doesn't matter what kind of train I buy, the speed will always be 112km/h

Does anyone know what can I do to do something about it or is there any GRF that helps.

Thanks.

Note that the railroad has no speed limit.
You are using some set track?

Can you post an example save game that shows the problem you're having?

It can be the wagon speed limit if you're using train sets that have such limit. Or maybe the train is too heavy to go any faster with the train's total power. Or you have too many curves within the length of 1 train consist. (But 112km/h is an odd number for a curve length speed limit)

and their load, and hills etc count too.

You can add a second engine if the train isn't fast enough :)
