The most important thing to do is join the IRC channel.

From there you can use commands like !grf, which will give you the download link to a package with all the grfs used in-game. You can also use commands to get the nightly version used.

#openttdcoop is the channel name.

Here is a free IRC client

I'm quite sure the !grf command will give you a link to the #openttdcoop grf package which you can find on the posted address: http://www.openttdcoop.org/wiki/GRF .

The remaining GRFs are found in the in-game content service. Just go to the multiplayer window. Find the #openttdcoop server, view the GRF list and then there is a button at the bottom to search for missing GRFs on the content system.

That said, you will still have to join the #openttdcoop IRC channel on irc.oftc.net in order to get the password for joining the server.

We are sorry, it isn't that simple to join our servers, if you like a simple way, you could download some archive games:

Those are all either in the grf package (make sure you have the latest version, 7.3 IIRC) and that you have checked the online content service.

 Moving on.
  1. The 'package' you have from BaNaNas is simply a 'marker' that says 'this server uses the #openttdcoop GRF Pack'
  2. You'll need the full GRF pack inflated to the data/ dir of the nightly the server happens to be running
  3. You'll also need any other GRFs from BaNaNas that we've loaded.
  4. http://www.openttdcoop.org/wiki/Quickstart may be useful

Have you actually read the pages you've been linked to? The instructions on the GRF package are in the second alinea in bold, they shouldn't be that hard to miss ;)
