Siding Set

Post by Translink »

I'm looking for a siding station set for both old and modern times, any suggestions?

Further to kamnet's:

NewStations (not on BaNaNaS) has various warehouses, and facilities, also stations and buffers that look just like plain track.

CHIPS has paved platforms to match the FIRS industries and cargos, and various hoppers/sheds.

Recommend you don't use those sidings I did way back when. They were coded as a whole tile so don't match the OpenGFX Base tiles.

Theres also only the two directions, no transition, no diagonals, buffers are too clean.

I might look at those one day - there's not really a viable alternative out there. I didn't think that stopgap would still be being recommended nearly a decade on!

I know, but Dave's siding set is downloadable from the forums, not the game so I couldn't figure out how to use it.

It should be there, but you can manually create the directories if needed. May want to followup in the development thread for it.

I shall do so, but I think that the IRS stations, together with CHIPS and the roundhouses do a good job.
