High Demand Short-Hauls

Post by Baldy's Boss »

In the Bundton & Malbourne game,my stations with the biggest backlog are the two served by the "Nantshaw Passengers" train group.
Nantshaw and Doningden are close enough to look like walking distance, but thousands of people and thousands of mailbags are seeking transportation. The trains turn a modest profit.

Is continued investment in that line worth the return it can generate?...is higher volume or higher speed more profitable than the other?

Seems good, upgrade the stations, and trains? Take passengers from there to other destinations? Put in connecting buses? So much you could do to develop there.

If I maglev-ize I can increase speed, but 68-passenger cars are limited to 100 mph and would become unavailable.A lot of demolition would attend any further station expansion.

Even if you would not have size and wagon speed restrictions, what good would it do?

(That is, how many more passengers would you be able to move?)
