That paper mill is definitely not vanilla ottd. Nice try, however :)
It is vanilla OpenTTD. I guess we can try to edit-out the 'Rondje AI' which is required by that savegame, though.

Sorry, I hadn't noticed that the paper mill is included with the Sub-arctic climate

pretty sure that the arctic or whatever climate that is, has a paper mill.

Edit: looks like you've already been informed of this. Sorry.

In contrast to the big cities, here's a more rural one :) Tips appreciated.

The tradition of titlegames has been to show a tightly congested network hub,but maybe they'll change it up...

I note that since I swapped one of my own old games in for a title game,I have a "Missing GRFs have been disabled" popup.
Is that a sign of an entry that would be ineligible?

That's odd... the maximum number of competitors is set to 0. Is there a way I can edit it out?

Until that problem is resolved, here is the final update.

It's your call, the community supplies new title games and takes votes.

I do like the idea of a change though, but how to work that into the competition such that it would work for everyone?

Title games cannot have NewGRFs, since it is loaded before scanning for NewGRFs.

The rules of the competition are listed in the first post.

I forgot how, but I seem to recall that it's possible with some savegame hacking. Don't worry about that now for your entry.

My savegame originally had two "IdlePlus" AIs running the additional companies. I fixed that by starting a local multiplayer game, start new human companies, give lots of money, and buy them out

Actually this year's entries are already much more rural than the ones last year. And this is a change I really like, I've been always voting for the rural ones so far. Now it will be quite the tough choice :)

Here's my submission. (I got it to display the image on the first try! Go me!)

Image

I think I have some good news for everyone when I say that I actually took sound into consideration, and dang is it hard to make a scene look super busy and still be really quiet. I won't pretend it's perfectly silent, but compared to the 1.4 entry, it is much easier on the ears. It should be completely full of stuff for every resolution, and maybe then some, because I had no idea where exactly to stop. Sorry for the screencap being so small, my monitor isnt as big as it was last year.
It's not at all rural, even though that seems to be the popular theme. (RIP me), but I still think the titlegame is meant to be super chaotic.
so basically:
a lot less noise this time around.
features just about all vehicles and buildables.
Made using 1.4 (So I could easily compare it to last year's winner as far as sound), so no extreme mountains.
several different companies
probably at least 50 road vehicle casualties from Yellow's maglev line while building it (grumble grumble)

And I don't know if this is a good thing, but there are different kinds of trains and train consists on the same lines, to add variety. IMO it's a little less repetitive.

Please try it out, and tell me what you think, and what I can improve! Thaaaanks.

This is SPARTA!!!!!

128x128

Rail network for primairy cargo 79 Trains + foolproof design that should never jam. (overflows)
Maglev network for secondairy and Tertairy 51 trains, only servecing towns within view

Features:

block signals, pre-signals, PBS signals, priorities, overflows, combinations of previous stated features and lots of trains.

Does not feature:

simple rv's annoying ships or otherwise filty planes

Will jam (aka not run smooth) if the farm production gets to high, so don't stay in the main menu for over 3 hours. It can happen then.

So, I generated the overview page for this year's titlegame contest which offers all savegames and how they look with various base sets: http://devs.openttd.org/~planetmaker/ti ... index.html (it's still uploading as time of writing but will finish while I sleep :D )

Votes can now be cast by sending an e-mail to me with your top 3 list or a reply in this thread with your top 3 (ordered list, indicate preferences)

The games all seem eligible and fine (I guess we can remove the stub AIs found in some):
