Hey! I'm trying to find a new way to play OpenTTD. Instead of playing sandbox-style, I'd like to have objectives throughout the game. For instance, the government paid an upfront amount of cash for a transportation service to be set up, and then would offer a subsidy (like the classic TT subsidies) for that service. There could be cash awards for best transportation parameters (fastest transportation, most cargo, etc). So on, so forth. Along with cargo destination algorithm (even before a transport from A to B is set, there are passengers / cargo that plan on taking such a transport in case it exists in the future).
Is there a patchpack of some sort close to what I'm talking about? Or is there a way to easily set up such a thing with a couple of newGRFs and GameScripts? Any help is appreciated

GameScripts are what you're looking for. However, I'm not very experienced with them, so other people will have to give advice on which ones are best.

Have a look at NoCarGoal http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?f=65&t=62212 and Silicon Valley. http://dev.openttdcoop.org/projects/siliconvalley
Both are at bananas online content.
A very new script is Busy Bee, at http://dev.openttdcoop.org/projects/busy-bee-gs First version is being finished, should arrive at bananas soon. If you want to play it earlier, install directly from the project (involves downloading the files, creating a directory, and copying the files into the new directory)..

Being a retired OpenTTD developer does not mean I know what I am doing.
