Hi,
is it possible to increase the map size while a game (maybe via rcon or on server-console)?
Or must I start a new network game with higher map values in openttd.cfg?

Code: Select all
rcon <password> "set map_x 9"
rcon <password> "set map_y 10"
rcon <password> newgame
Re: change map size while network-game
it would RESET your game, not EXPAND (aka: make the CURRENT map you are playing larger. openttd can only generate a map at the start of the game, not make it larger, like in minecraft )

perfectly (a dynamic increasing would be fine for future).
Is there also a command to slow down the gamespeed (not min_active_clients, a command which slows down the clock)?

I don't see changing map size mid-game becoming possible anytime soon. Changing the speed of time progression is not possible either. But there are various patches which are supposed to enable that in one fashion or another. when compiled into OpenTTD.
