We are looking for new/extra translators for the following languages, the number of missing strings as of writing is between parentheses:
Bulgarian (140)
Esperanto (508)
Frisian (1735)
Galician (137)
Icelandic (111)
Ido (3090)
Japanese (173)
Lithuanian (128)
Luxembourgish (116)
Macedonian (2663)
Malay (280) (one of the two languages that made an improvement since 1.0.0-beta2)
Persian (1896)
Thai (2384)
Urdu (3019)
Vietnamese (1769)
Welsh (111)
The FAQ of WT3 tells you how to become a translator. The languages not in this either have less than 100 missing strings, or are totally untranslated. See the translation status for more information about the current status of the translations.
Finally we would like to ask whether you can help improve the documentation in the wiki so our new players have a good and up-to-date manual to help them exploring OpenTTD.

Actually I also translated OpenTTD into Slovenian (just 2 unstranslated strings remaining).
Which I found out after signing up for translating So the number of missing strings Rubidium wrote above is wrong or is there really 112 left to translate?
Besides it never hurts if there is more than one person who occasionally looks at the current state of the translation. Strings change and new strings get added more or less frequently.

I will start translating in Bulgarian after Saturday since I have 3 more exams till then.
sakishrist, направи си акаунт в страницата на openttd и се свържи с Translations Manager с молба да ти даде права и започваш. Аз написах, че съм роден в България и съм добре с английския и получих право да редактирам. Успех.

It is nothing special, but since it is kinda unfair not to know what is written, I'll short-translate all of them.
Wold wrote how can one make an account, then sakishrist said that he had send an e-mail and I said that they should leave the hard strings for the end, because they sound really stupid if not translated properly.
Back to topic, I translated +/- 100 strings and I'm feeling happy.
Hi, when i try to install the game it stops halfway and says "Downloading of OpenGFX failed", "Downloading of OpenSFX failed", "Downloading of Nosound failed".
I would be happy, and I would translate, but without an OSX binary to test my translations (as I use specialist translation software for English - Welsh Translations which is free on OSX, £50 on Windows) I can't.
I've asked my colleagues over on the Ubuntu Cymru Localisation team, and the Ubuntu Welsh Translators, but obviously nobody has stepped forward. I shall mention it again.

Any ideas why ?
If tour behind a coreperate or school firewall it won't let you download them through the installer. You will, unfortunately, have to download them seprately or try at home.
What about you? Will you join me when the time comes to be a hero?
