OpenTTD 0.7.0-RC1

Post by Rubidium »

We have released the first release candidate for 0.7.0. If all goes well this will be the last release candidate before the real deal, but that all depends on how buggy it is.

The binaries can be found at http://www.openttd.org/download-testing/0.7.0-RC1 and the changelog can be seen at http://binaries.openttd.org/releases/0. ... ngelog.txt.

Happy testing!

it works fine ... I especially like the download mirror in the frontpage; would it be possible to (de-)activate the stuff in the same box they are listed after they had been downloaded? The current way of getting these run is a little bit odd.

The KI crashed in a game I played in the 18th century; with the message that there were no passenger vehicles available or so; could be related to an 'extension'.

good work ...

Please provide more details about the crash if you can. If you run Windows, attach the crash.dmg and crash.log file if you have not made another crash since then. They should be found in your OpenTTD installation directory. Also do you remember what you did when it crashed? Is it something you can reproduce?

Also what is KI?

An RC already? Good job!
I think it's getting time to update the manual to have everything in order for the final release. And by that I don't mean that you developers should update the manual; we users could do so just as well!

In German it's "Künstliche Intelligenz" -> "artificial intelligence" -> AI. :]

As stated in the warning box you got, please report it in the relevant AI thread: http://www.tt-forums.net/viewforum.php?f=65

Either that, or you need to check the firewall settings.

Since I cannot connect either and know that my firewall settings are in order (it has worked before with the same executable), I think the former is more true...

Actually the content server was really down. For some reason our webserver uses lots of memory and then the OS starts killing applications that request memory when there isn't any memory anymore, which in this case was the content server.
