Usually I don't like maps with huge cities in the beginning. But this one is really really great. Would be interesting, to play it with cargodest in multiplayer

The license would probably be more of a problem.

Why exactly are there these canals under bridges?

Yea like Eddi said it's some kind of bug that came when I loaded the map after upgrading to a newer version of OTTD. Have to fix it manually on every bridge I guess :P

I don't see a license problem, I would love to see it included. Although might be better till it's finished (as said before about 30% of the map is still under construction)

I think the map is fantastic! Great work!

But I have to agree with SirkoZ, it is definately in need of an option to halt industry closure. I constructed a huge supply chain across the whole length of the Ronian Islands, transporting oil all the way to the refinery in the Merlin Islands. As you can probably imagine - just as the first ship came to dock at the harbour, the refinery closed.

I had to wait for three years doing nothing till I could replace the refinery.

Despite that, it's a brilliant scenario.

Yeah after some longer playtesting I underfound the same problems and I really hope that SirkoZ can help us out there :)

Hi.
I must say i've been waiting for a long time for this map as i like to develop passenger transportation.
The map is just awesome and amazing. It has been a pleasure to play it.
I tried to develop a tram system with coherent spanish station names but i never did any spanish at school so please be kind about it ^^

I can now declare that CAPITOLA, the main city in Cindini has now a tram system.
The Capitolapolitano Transport Authority has develop a system of 9 lines.

- Line A runs from Puerto Nuevo, passes by the Train Station, the Avenue of Liberty and goes to Senor Evada at Ciudad Ximelez.
- Line B goes from Puerta de Biancun , passes by the Train Station and El Senato, than goes in Ribera at La Montaña.
- Line C is the longuest with 24 stations, it links Paradito ( Grande Rotonda ) to Leostimar ( Buenaventura )
- Line D and Line E are allmost twins, they link the district of Imperiato to Porta Junio.
- Line F runs from Puerta de Helapo , then goes by El Senato to the Stadium of Costanjetta
- Line G, like line B, links Beilo ,Ribera, to Downtown Capitola ( El Senato )
- Line H, goes from Borgoña in central capitola to the North and the business city of Cinderia
- Line I links central Capitola to the new Airport in Brocita. It shares common stations with line A

Here are a few screens :

I loaded that scenario, but i didn't play it until now. I was just busy admiring the whole setup. Great work.

@Rigil: Nice shots. How long did you need for that map?

Great work there Rigil! :D The tram lines look all very well placed and the top of the icecream is the great looking tram-map of the city, wich really makes it all come alive.

Thanks, but the Tram is nothing compared to the whole map
I don't know how much time it took to build the network, but I must admit i've cheated a little.
I had to destroy few buildings to put tram lines on the way ( like in real life )
But the municipality of Capitola wasn't really pleased about that idea ( like in real life )
So I had to corrupt it a lot ( like in real life :D )

Though the map took me more time to do than the ingame network ( unlike in real life ) :D

Anyway, congrats once again for this map, whooper.
If you need a hand to complete the last 30% , i'd be glad to help. ( and bring more french town names . ha ha ha **joke** ) :D I'm not used for spanish ^^

Seems like your tranportation map is already distrubuted among the different tram stations around the city :)

Nice pic. I'm sure we will be able to take screenies like this directly from OTTD one day :)

Earlier in this topic I mentioned that this scenario causes a big CPU load even just after starting the scenario. I identified one of the CPU burners and created a patch which reduces the load after start of this map by more than 25%.

I hope this is helpful for those of us that don't have super-computers to enjoy this great scenario :D

Edit: I further got to reduce my CPU load from 50% to below 20% by not compiling with debugging support. I could have had that idea earlier. So, the only thing I'm still missing is a lot of time to play this scenario :D

Wow, I love this map. I can only envy the free time you must have to make something so amazing =)

It's in production for over 2 years, and largest part was build during an internship in Africa, if you know the rhythm of live there you know that you will get LOTS of time in wich you have to find a way to pass it. Everything goes "Polé polé" (very slow)
