Station problems

This is something i have coockt up myself but the trains go to rail 1 and Q there
instead of going into the other slots that are open

Using less sharp corners will probably improve throughput. Can you tell what "1" and "Q" are? I can't find them

with the 1 i mean they always pick rail 1 and stand in Que in line one even if the other slots of the station are open.

the save fille is 17 mb hmmm that seems pretty large for a save and to add to the post

What happens if you get rid of the signals immediately infront of the platforms, perhaps puttings signals on the exit routes? That's what I would usually do for a similar station.

So i took out all the sharp edges and made it more like this.

the problem is this way the station really takes up a lot of space

Works way better with removing the :bow:

17mb ?? that must be a quite full map ! or is it only a huge map with not much built ??

You can build much more compactly.

First small test suggests it needs more separate exits.

This design does not work even with more exits :s

I believe the TT-forum rules allow up to 3 attachments of up to 6MB each...but does that get bent to allow one 18MB attachment?

no, but you can split the file into 6MB pieces with any archive program...

Well now i have something else going on this is still not a heavy duty station
not all the tracks are used and only the first 3 are beeing used and the rest is ignored
making the trains que just for the station for entering 1-3 and ignoring the rest.

Try deleting the signals where I marked with red X, and keep/add the signals where I marked with green circle.

Okay with all the hints and tips i got i decided to redesign the station
taking the tips into consideration. This is what i came up with
