Station problems
This is something i have coockt up myself but the trains go to rail 1 and Q there
instead of going into the other slots that are open
I am aiming for a heavy duty trainstation

Re: Station problems
can you post a save file as well?
Re: Station problems
Using less sharp corners will probably improve throughput. Can you tell what "1" and "Q" are? I can't find them
Being a retired OpenTTD developer does not mean I know what I am doing.
Re: Station problems
with the 1 i mean they always pick rail 1 and stand in Que in line one even if the other slots of the station are open.
Re: Station problems
the save fille is 17 mb hmmm that seems pretty large for a save and to add to the post
Re: Station problems
What happens if you get rid of the signals immediately infront of the platforms, perhaps puttings signals on the exit routes? That's what I would usually do for a similar station.
Re: Station problems
so you mean the single stoplight to remove them
Re: Station problems
So i took out all the sharp edges and made it more like this.
the problem is this way the station really takes up a lot of spaceRe: Station problems
Works way better with removing thebear1 wrote:What happens if you get rid of the signals immediately infront of the platforms, perhaps puttings signals on the exit routes? That's what I would usually do for a similar station.
Re: Station problems
17mb ?? that must be a quite full map ! or is it only a huge map with not much built ??
Re: Station problems
You can build much more compactly.
First small test suggests it needs more separate exits.Being a retired OpenTTD developer does not mean I know what I am doing.
Re: Station problems
What about something more like...

Re: Station problems
This design does not work even with more exits :sAlberth wrote:You can build much more compactly.First small test suggests it needs more separate exits.

Re: Station problems
I believe the TT-forum rules allow up to 3 attachments of up to 6MB each...but does that get bent to allow one 18MB attachment?romazoon wrote:17mb ?? that must be a quite full map ! or is it only a huge map with not much built ??
Re: Station problems
no, but you can split the file into 6MB pieces with any archive program...

Re: Station problems
Well now i have something else going on this is still not a heavy duty station
not all the tracks are used and only the first 3 are beeing used and the rest is ignored
making the trains que just for the station for entering 1-3 and ignoring the rest.

Re: Station problems
Try deleting the signals where I marked with red X, and keep/add the signals where I marked with green circle.
