no auto renew

Post by mfans »

I play with 1.3.1, and found the Bombardier HSML can't auto renew, The train is still running over 100 years old, other train is Ok, like Lev4 is auto renewed.
How to do?

Save game? There's too many things that could be the case here.
- lack of money
- engines no longer available

It looks strange because I can see the trains having gone to the depot rather recently

(For those can't read Chinese, the screenshot was taken on 13 Sep 2189, Train 61 having been serviced just 5 days ago)

Save the game and upload the .sav file will definitely help us investigate.

That HSML is surely a funny kind of train! It has 100% reliability and doesn't go down!

Looks like you have to contact the author of that GRF again!

I guess this is actually more related to the setting "Disable servicing when breakdowns set to none", as it seems you're most likely disabled breakdowns. Through the always 100% reliability could be a problem too anyway.

reliability of 100% is only a problem if you define the service interval in % instead of days (->advanced setting). if a train definitely visited the depot, it should autoreplace if
  • you have enough money, and
  • a replacement rule is set for all vehicles or this group of vehicles, and the disable autoreplace for this group button is not set.

From his savegame, he seems have breakdowns ON.

I loaded his savegame and set the rule to using "days" as criteria. Still no avail.

He surely has enough money.

I'll check the latter point tonight when I am home.

EDIT: He didn't group his trains

Therefore, I think it's GRF problem.
