I said "It's WIN only, if anyone can point me a good way to convert it to DOS, I'll do it though."
Nevertheless I've made a Dos version too (check in the original post).
Be observant though, because it's likely to contain graphical glitches, and I'd like some feedback on it...

that's ok, i'll wait. and if any minor bugs or glitches appear, i'll notify.

I think, You misunderstood me a bit.
You don't have to wait, I have posted the DOS version in the original post (currently it has 0 downloads, so it's obvious that You didn't notice it)

I had that problem too, astath. Make sure you have newbridges ON in ttdpatch[w].cfg and make sure you have a patch version that supports new bridges of course. Try again when you did that.

Thanks Hyronymus!

Yes, astath, that error is caused by the higherbridges [edit] newbridges instead [/edit] switch being off.
I hope there are no more "errors".

i have to double-check that when i get home, but i'm quite sure i have. wouldn't it be some bug only in the dos-version?

I don't think it is. The only difference between the win and the dos version is the graphics files, particularly, the palettes the graphics use. I was referring to graphical glitches, when I said that look for glitches.
Of course I'll gladly accept coding errors too (ok, maybe not that gladly ;)), but if the files have coding errors, then they would surely show in both versions.
newbridges=on uses a special code, that can link bridge sprites to any other desired sprite. So if you don't turn that on, the program uses the core code, that links to the original sprites, of which some I have overwritten, but some remain..

yep, forgot newbridges. still, the yellow girder (?) steel bridge isn't renewed. but they look rather stunning, indeed.

As far as I remember, there is still one original bridge left, because ewe didn't have a replacement. I just got an idea, how about using Bernhard's self-supporting bridge? It was released as .exe, but those don't work with any new roadsets. I understand that it might be a problem, because then it woun't be Purno's only, but it would be a nice example of cooperation between forum users-graphics. We should verify that bernhard would agree on that, but as far as I remember, he agreed on that this bridge could became one of default bridges for European Roadset, which never happened, however - but he probably would agree on his bridge beeing added to this set. What do you think?
