Was going to play today .. but decided to continue my project. Added XPT, Endeavour and Suburban Dogboxes. Will upload this version it some time next week.

Hi all, attached is another NSWTrains and also the sauce if someone wants it on their meals.

This version has:
LFX and HCX Dogbox Coaches, Endeavour Cars (DMU), XPT (Power Car and carriages separate so you can make your own consist), CUB Set (Coaches), 80 Class Diesel, and the 3 electrics 46, 85 and 86 class.

The Parcel Vans are now refittable so can carry limited amount of other cargos. Trains that has carriages that had both passenger and mail sections, these too are refittable so can choose if want passengers or a limited amount of Mail.

If you want to add other NSW trains to your game download the Generic Australian Set (GARS) r06 and Australian Standard Gauge v0.1.1.

They have C30 Tank, C32 Steam, D57 Steam, 71, 81, 90 class diesels and some others.

There are not freight wagons with my set. Use the 2ccts set or one of the many other great train sets available.

I haven't had chance to play a proper game to test some of what I done, so if anyone there sees any faults, please let me know.

I will have a break from the train set for a while so can finish a scenario I started a while back .. Sydney Suburban in the 1930s.

Heres Auzind_V3 again ...

Fixed the problem with some industries wanting to build close to town centre. They now build a bit further away with 30 squares of a town.

The Hotel can build anywhere.

I added the Indian Pacific to the NSWTrains .. hope to make it available later in week.

Hi all, had no complaints of the NSWTrains I done and I not find any problems with it so I going to release it on Bananas. I will not be doing any more to it for a few weeks as I want to finish my scenario I been trying to finish for months now.

Auzind_V3 - Australian Industries V3 - highly based on FIRS version 1.4.3 & SPI 1.1

I have uploaded this set to Bananas.

I have made this Industry Set for my own personal liking. I like the old ways where cargos where taken to rail heads by road and thence transported by rail. It may or may not suit every ones idea of game play for OpenTTD.

There is no guarantee this project will work successfully. It works for what I want, but may not work how you had hoped.

The new small Industries I have added to this Auzind are designed to act as if farmers and industries in and near that town deliver and collect their cargos at the Freight Centres, Goods Sheds etc., and you provide a service between the towns and other industries.

FIRS and SPI are great industry sets much credit goes to those who designed it.

I would like to show my appreciation and thanks to the following:

Andythenorth, FooBar, planetmaker, Terkhen and Yexo, and many others who designed the FIRS Industry sets.
3iff for guidence and teaching me to use NML and the use of his project SPI which he also based on FIRS.

Doing the NSW trains easier for me as I have most of the diagrams and information about them in books to reference too. I have no books on other States, it be just what ever I can find on the Internet.

Might be better when I start other States bring over to my game all that has already been done by 2ccts and what you've done first .. then start adding what hasn't been done.

Can you upload your sprites of other States to here or PM them to me. Be a few weeks before I start them as want to finish the Sydney Scenario first.

Well I do have other sprites in my GARS set from other states if you look, each sprite does come with a flag from which state the locomotive comes from.

I may try to attempt to do some more spriting, but I'm not promising. One thing I've been wanting to do is the SAR 900 Class

EDIT : Heres the first part of the sprite, just wondering if anyone has any ideas (Sprite has been resized to x4) Mind you, its in Company Color.

the SAR 900 Class

The SAR 900 class is simular to the NSW 44 class. Just with a longer nose.

The following SAR locos same as some NSW ones. The 600 = 45, 700 = 442 and the 830 = the 48s.

If anyone want to try making some for their own States and not sure where to start, I attached a template Sprite (thanks to Voyager One) and colour palettes.

Just draw your locomotive and coaches with in these sprites. Each engine or carriages needs 8 images done.

The sprite template set up with a mock carriage made without windows and doors. All you need to do is change the colours to suit what you want and reshape where needed, put in some windows and doors, and change the bogies if need to suit a locomotive or a coach.

If others out there will make the sprites and send to me I will add them to the Newgrf file I done of NSW train stuff.

Remember the little engine trying to climb the hill kept saying I .... think .... I .... can, I ... think ... I ... can, and he eventually done it.

Challenge to all Australians who like OpenTTD and want to see an Australian Train Set for the game.

Help me make the sprites of locomotives and coaches from your State and send them to me.

I've attached copy of some sprites that I did .. thanks to Voyager One. As you will notice I used sprites from a different engines to design what I needed.

You can do same with these.

If a old dog like me can make these sprites, and it took me a while to learn as the ones on a angle they not that easy, but it can be done.

Unless of course you think NSW Trains are better then your State and they don't deserve to be included

What other States that can be found I will add to my NSWTrains and rename it AustralianTrains.

Even if I add them and change their colours later.

I just hope we can get some others out there to try do some too.

The only sprites I have are the ones you got from GARS, I never did make any more sprites after making the 421 Class sprite, that was rather hard for me to get it just right.

I checked your site and downloaded what sprites I could find. Not find any the Queensland Railway there? Who did those?

You had a link to a VicRail page not been active since 2008, so I grabs some of those sprites too and left a message to see if there is any life there still.

As suggested before about doing a Australian Rail Set.

Here is a sample of what to expect.

The trains from other States and a few from NSW still in Company Colours .. I have not taken them to the paint shop yet.

Probably take me a few months to complete unless some others like to help making some sprites.

Almost forgot to mention .. this set has not been tested in a game yet.

The Freight Wagons from the 2ccts NML Train Set have also been added to both AuzTrains and NSWTrains.

Until I get chance to build my own coaches from the 1800s, these will allow you to run passenger trains as early as the first steam loco become available in 1855.

Attached is the latest NewGRF file. These have not been tested .. I only have a few more to do and NSWTrains Set will be finished. So I intend to finish it first before I do any more testing. Once I get the NSWTrains finished and released, I hope I can put more time into doing the AuzTrains, which will take me ages to do.

The Source files will be available later when I finish the NSWTrains.

The NSWTrains set is almost complete.

Maybe add one or two more tank steam locos from pre 1900s.
Also add the 92 class Diesel and the 1200 class DMU.

Apart from that just need some testing and see if all are riding the rails properly.

If there is any other locos and coaching stock think be good to add, please tell me sooon.

Here's the latest AuzTrains and NSWTrains.

The include the following NSW trains:

Z17 Steam loco, 1st and 2nd class sitting Vestibule Coaches that entered service in the 1870s .. I don't know the actual date so I started them in 1878, if any one know the actual year please let me know, also the NUB Set FN 2nd class, BN 1st class and HFN 2nd class and guard.

I replaced the 4 wheel open wagons that carried coal and Ore wagons from Gen1 with CH Coal Hoppers and CHG Guards Van.

I don't plan to do any programming this weekend .. time to do something else for a few days like enjoy playing the game and see if they all ride the rails.
