Hans Kruzer wrote:Here is test Version 3, coded by Supercheese! It has all the parameters of 2, only this version has renewed sprites for Hamburg Hochsbahn, and the Frankfurt U-Bahn Train. This version has open/closing doors on the trains too ! :D

You may want to wait for the next release which is solely to improve the Frankfurt train's graphics and statistics, since this test version's a bit incorrect there.
Actually, you'll probably want to use version 4 attached, especially since here the sources are actually included. Changes from version 3 include a proper German translation as well as pantographs and better stats for the Frankfurt train.

Well, after about 2 months of a disappearance Hans has resurfaced and with him he brings sprites made over time

As far as the German U-Bahn set, I haven't heard of any more cities with true legit metros in Germany than what we already have; thus I held a vote and the Copenhagen Metro recieved the most votes, followed by the Köln Stadtbahn. I reset the polls with new options and some old, so don't expect to find any proof of this :P

So, I worked here sprites for the Copenhagen metro train, the one that is used now. It has the slanty front so chances is it will need aligning in the game at first.

Next will be drawn is possibly the Köln light rail train and the modern Berlin S-Bahn.

Image

Anyways, should I rename the set since it looks like people would want more metro trains besides those only in Germany 8)

I have seen and played with Bernard's set, it is very nice next to Daniel's Berlin trams and this set's Berlin metro :P Nevertheless, as much as I would want to draw one myself, would it be better to merge the sets instead? Or, leave it alone and forget about S-Bahn trains

Okay, the set will be just of metro trains instead. I quickly made something for the Stockholm Metro, I could not resist to draw a Stockholm train and you would understand by its appearance in the photo 8)

As promised, the U-5 Frankfurt train, which is the upgrade from the U-4 which is already in the set. It has more tram-like features than the U-4, but still is considered a metro train. And that would be our second and final metro train for Frankfurt!

Image

Anyways, if there is a demand for this set to have real-livery metro trains from various cities in Europe, clearly there will be a need for more artists, coders, and people who can research information! All help is appreciated and put in the credits

He has seen it :D

Okay, according to the polls, the population wants to see the Stuttgart U-Bahn/Stadtbahn train (30%) and the Köln train(30%). I finished the Stuttgart SSB DT8; its quite easy and has a similar appearance as a Frankfurt U4, so I reused those sprites with more editing. I don't believe there are other modern light rail vehicles in Stuttgart, if so do correct me.

Now, Köln has 3 new light rail vehicles that are used, or some retired; the K4000, K4500, and K5000. The problem being the prior 2 are more tram-like and have 3 segments, the middle segment being much shorter than the two outer. Thus, I can only make the K5000, which has 2 equal segments, as seen here:

Here, the Köln/Cologne Stadtbahn/U-Bahn vehicles are finished, or partly for now. I made the K5000 as promised, and managed to slip in a K4000. From an OTTD graphics view, there really is no difference between either models, though in real life you can see the difference in design. Here, the K4000 just has the older KVB colours and the articulated part is different.

Next I will do Vienna's U-Bahn since it is the next most voted for, and then finish the other two which were voted; and that will be the additional trains for the upcoming version of this set.
Goodnight!

Wonderful! Now we have all 3 currently used light rail vehicles for Köln, thus completed.
Yoshi, can I use your pantographs on the other electric trains? They appear better than my generic ones :P

Well, now the Vienna trains are done; the 2 newest types that are used. In Vienna there are 2 different sets of U-Bahn trains; the metro trains which use 3rd rail and the Light rail trains which are different than the city's trams.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vienna_U-Bahn

Anyways, the two other trains have single votes, so Amsterdam and Düsseldorf will not be in this upcoming release but perhaps the next version.
I will reset the polls with new metro systems as well as the ones not made that are already there

Thanks all, the translations are in the working and all the sprites have been polished and shipped off. Now its only a matter of time before the new release

As for now, I am making the new poll for what to include next in the set, so if anyone has reasonable ideas of European cities with metro systems, feel free to post names here :)
