Any more critique? I don't think it's 100% done yet...feedback is helpful.
Well, only the chimney is better. As for other parts ... brown colours are better than yellow, but the details are lost. So, no, I can't say this a good change :(

I like the brown version a little better though windows and doors might need touching up as their colours make them blend into the building a bit more. And perhaps the textile mill should be using grey concrete for ground tiles?

Funny, the details on the old chimney were one of my favourite parts of that building...

The smaller buildings have a very TTD look about them though, which is nice. :)

I preferred the buildings to appear connected, but I like the darker colour a lot better :)

I see nothing wrong with gloomy. It makes it all more realistic.

(realistic? OH NOES~!)

Why didnt you use the original farm ID for your arable farm anyway? To avoid that potential problem? I know its too late now but im just curious ;)

Because this shouldn't be a poblem as people aren't supposed to change their NewGRF configuration in a running game.

Edit: nevermind, already been said earlier.

I know, but i was just curious, because if i was making an Industry GRF which was going to use an industry from vanilla, id of left the vanilla industry with its original ID.

Don't underestimate historic reasons, at some point in the past farm ID were perhaps considered to be more useful for some other industry, later farms got added, but changing IDs around at that time is just TMWFNB (too much work for no benefit).

It invariably happens when you work on something for a longer time. If you'd start anew, you'd do things differently then the way they are in your current work.

Much better ;)
Still the first flour of the large building and roofs of the large building and the building with chimney look not well. The roof of small building looks better and much different according to the other :(

I agree. The walls and doors disappear into the golden colour of the walls. They don't look great :( I'm not going to do anything about this now, but I'll try and fix it in future. Lots of TTD houses actually have the same issue, we just don't look at them so closely ;)

One option is I could remove company colour and just draw the doors in a shade that will look good. Company colour could maybe be used somewhere else.

That's a leftover from the time OpenTTD din't sort the industry list. As alfabetic order would break with other languages, we sorted the industries by type to make the list easier to use. You can still find the original scheme in root / docs / FIRS_Industries.xls.

Restored a white stripe, it's not realistic but it makes for better game art.

Also added a greeble tile (crates), which makes for some space in the layouts. I will fix the roof and doors when I get inspired for how. This is done for now. Time for something else...

think we could use new graphics for the steel mill?

Also, since there arent many places to process fruits & vegetables, what about making the grain mill (aka Bakery) into a Food Processing plant to handle fruits & vegetables and grains, then they can make things like fruit snacks and raisin bread and vegetable crackers :p
