You're going to need a set of Welsh city names to go with it, you know. Like Llanfair, Caereinion, Pwllgwyngyll, etc.

This is just a list of real names - it's pretty easy to construct convincing Welsh-sounding town names from word roots so I'm working on doing that for the next version.

- And with uncanny accuracy, a test game placed Trawsfynydd next to a lake and gave it a power station...

Just make sure you include those in the GRF file of the final set.
It would be nice if Dinges added a new section for town-name files to his site. But I haven't seen him around much recently.

Neat :) As far as other colours go, I think they were originally pretty random, so blue, red, green, and whatever else grabs your fancy will be good. There could also be some in all-over dark red for quarryman's carriages.AndrewA wrote:Very short coach graphics. I hope they're the right size. If there are different coloured ones (I suspect there are) then, tell me which, bearing in mind the TT pallette :D .
edit: Actually, could you lose at least 2 pixels from the height? They need to be really low compared to the bigger engines.

oh yeah, I have a simple idea to rename and replace the Coal mine and power station.
basically, the Coal mine will become the slate quarry, and the power plant becomes the port or slate mill
Nahh, that wouldn't work, aren't there A LOT of coal mines in Wales?.
Maybe replace the Iron ore mine with a slate quarry and the Steel mill to a Slateworks, then ship the slate to a factory to be made into whatever.

Good suggestion though - but the set will end up with a load of very similar (in power, weight, speed) small steam engines if we have that, the Ffestiniog Englands, Talyllyn, etc etc. I suppose that's kind of the point though, isn't it?Born Acorn wrote:it was only a suggestionsingaporekid_92 wrote:At last!!!
Someone's finally going to include a steam tram
Here are the latest prototypes from Cornelius Foundry - Vale of Rheidol tanks in Cambrian ochre yellow, GWR brunswick green and British Rail blue.

Oops - missed this reply earlier. Yeah, you're right - but these carriages are low enough to the ground to not show any of the underframe, I think, and you could maybe make the roof 1px shallower too. Sorry to be picky ;)AndrewA wrote:If you lose much more than two pixels there won't be anything left. :? . Anyway, here's a quick try. Many more colours to follow

Great! I'll post the new version of the town names .grf soon (when I'm sure it doesn't crash the game any more...) so you can check that and see if anything weird comes up.AoW wrote:As a welshman myself, I think this looks absolutely brilliant... If you need any help with Welsh Language and Names I can give you a hand.
