Yes, it's my roaming admin account - ie, if I don't want to lose my unread posts, I can log on to do a bit of quick adminning. I try to avoid posting from the account though, but it does happen. ;)

He's the one who sits in the server room and hands out all the pages that you're seeing. He also does the login by writing down your name and password and giving you a session number. Finally, he relays everything Owen says to the IRC channel and takes notes of what's going on while Owen is away.

I met him once. Very pale fellow. I think Owen needs to let him get out more. He is a slave down there! Awful. Just awful!

I didn't no, as I was already running recent versions on Zernebok before the hard disk died. PHP 4.4.0 and MySQL 4.1.13 at the moment.

He does all this by whistling the zeros and ones down an ethernet cable, of course...

Dear Mr. Rudge;

As all your other TTD friends and members say, Thank you!
I want to express my real appreciation for you absolute contribution
to The Game. Rarely does one see such devotion, Sir.

Now, if there is anything I might do to be of assistance to you, Mr. Owen,
I'd be more than happy to do so, if you just let me know, Sir.

I never "do" forums nor chat rooms, etc., but, after finding TT-Forums.net
and being made aware of the many, many people who being bound by
one common goal, that being in this case, TTD, I'm more reassured that
if others would do as TT-Forums does, there would be more peace on this
planet. So, THANK YOU, Mr. Owen Rudge, for bringing us all together.

Always,
Jim Powers

Let me ask you all something...
Every time I see that there is a new post in 'News' section, I think something *important* has happened, that's worth reading
While I do enjoy reading your posts about zernebok, and such, please go to the offtopic section with this offtopic (off-forum even) chatter.
I'd like to ask a mod / admin to lock this topic, and also delete this post. Let Jim's nice heartwarming post be the last to say anything in here.

Thank you, Mr Powers, for your very kind words, it really means a lot to me that people find the forums and my work (and the work of everyone else, of course - the moderators, the graphic artists, the developers, everyone) so helpful and enjoyable. :)

In the "old days", News posts did used to be locked as soon as they were made. I think from now on, I'll lock the post after a few days - to allow immediate comments. As you say, Jim's post would be a nice one to end on, so that's what I shall do. :)

Hmm, i get a feeling I am abusing my powers again...

Owen, I am sorry to hear about this, and I am sorry I missed it. It is good to see how quickly everything was fixed, and how generally reliable the forums are.

Just wanted to comment :)).
